I believe that even the most Domestically Sourced Vehicle, the 2015 Ford F150 (don’t know about the 2016), has 25% of it’s Content from outside “North America”.
Not the USA, “North America”, which includes Canada and Mexico. Remember the Clinton Trade Agreement that made that possible.
In other words, even an American Vehicle isn’t American. My All American 2015 Dodge Challenger is made in Canada.
I understand that. But the MONEY ends up in the US.
I would love to see the jobs come back. I appreciate that foreign cars are being built here. But the biggest point is where does the money go? Is I put into US banks? Are US taxes paid with it? Is it reinvested here?
I laugh at the thoughts that people would stay away from Walmart for their Chinese Junk, but their second largest purchase sends thousands of dollars to Tokyo or Souel.
