Great story. I read it every year when you post it. I also have my own, from personal experience. When I was 8 years old, my family lived in a run down apartment complex in Jacksonville, Florida. This would have been in 1984. This complex was surrounded by several other equally run down apartment complexes. One evening my whole family was outside throwing a nerf football around with other people that lived there. Is was getting dark, so my step dad told me and my little sister to go inside. We lived on the second floor. My sister and I go to our room, and began playing in there. We both look up toward the bedroom door as a “shadow man” steps in and turns off the light. We both screamed. I jumped up and turned the light back on. We then ran to the front door and down the stairs. My mom was several months pregnant with our brother at the time and was sitting on the stairs. We asked her if anyone came down the stair and she said, “No.” We thought that she was joking, but she wasn’t. The back door was always blocked to keep people from breaking in that way. I do not know for sure what it was that we saw. We both saw it. It came into the room, and without a sound turned off the light. It looked exactly like a person’s shadow, except solid and three dimensional. My sister won’t talk about it anymore, she gets creeped out.

I worked on Ghost Adventures for a full season years ago..

I was one of those fools who had to lay down the cable for the cameras power during the “lockdown” as the stars didn’t do it for obvious reasons. One of the episodes with the word “penitentiary” I and another dude rolled the cable at the ground floor and this black mist walked in front of me and hit my baseball cap.

I got one for you all.

We had recently moved over seas. My daughter was about 2.5 years old.

About two weeks after moving in, she kept talking about the "lady" in her room. The lady said this or that.

We though it was a little strange but chalked it up to too much Scooby Doo. We decided w wouldn't ask about it, make a big deal or pay it much attention.

So, it seemed to sort of die down for the most part.

My husband flew home for a wedding and my daughter and I stayed behind. We were up one night and I was hemming curtains. I stopped to take a break to go to the bathroom. My daughter was dancing around, playing like 3 year olds do and suddenly, she stops and says, "Momma, you know you don't need to be afraid". I said, "Afraid of what?"She didn't answer, kept playing and dancing. I asked her again, "Afraid of what". All the while I am thinking, "Ahhh, mannn"

She says, "The lady, she says you don't need to be afraid".

I said, trying to look calm, Oh, can you see the lady now?"

She said, "She's right behind me, can't you see her".

I was completely freaked out.I quickly packed up everything and went to bed, hid under the covers, LOL. She never brought it up again.
