Not talking about infectious diseases her. Talking about cancer. There is less of cancer in India than here, also much less Alzheimers, though I am not sure you could tell in many areas there. Incidences of both seem to vary with the consumption of curry in different localities.
For me turmeric and ginger keep my gal bladder inflammation under control.Doctor says “you have to have that out,” but I researched that and eat the turmeric and ginger instead. Lemon juice gives instant relief if I forget the turmeric.

And so what is the average life expectancy in India?

On average it is only 66.21 years as of 2012 compared to 78.74 years in America.

Many forms of cancer and certainly Alzheimers are diseases of “old age”. If you don’t live to be very old or die from other causes like measles or polio, and poor hygiene etc., you are not very likely to die from cancer or ever live long enough to develop Alzheimers.

We take large doses of D-3 everyday and other vitamins. This stuff is so contagious its really hard to avoid. The radio is reporting it as an influenza like virus. So the antibiotics just work on the secondary infections in the throat and ears etc. We are now just taking colloidal silver, C and nasonex for the runny nose.

I never said you did write mg. I just chose your post for a reply summarizing all of the various units of measurement mentioned in the posts on the thread. Sorry if you thought I was implying that you got them mixed up.

It is important to tread carefully in advising against vaccines, as even the Vitamin D Council notes that in the research, there are some important provisos (stipulated conditions.)

https://www.vitamindcouncil.org/health-conditions/influenza/

“A study was done that looked at the levels of vitamin D in people with prostate cancer and their immune response to the influenza vaccine. This study found that people who had higher levels of vitamin D had a higher response to the vaccine, meaning that they would be more protected against getting influenza.”

“In experiment done with Japanese schoolchildren looked at the effects of vitamin D supplements on their chances of getting influenza... There was a preventive effect of 1,200 IU vitamin D per day on children getting influenza A... In this study, there was no effect of vitamin D on influenza B, possibly because vitamin D may respond in different ways to the inflammatory proteins in the viruses.”

*********

“There are two branches of your immune system: the adaptive and the innate. The adaptive immune system develops based on previous exposure to a virus. The innate immune system is the part that can respond quickly to foreign invaders, and is based on the levels of immune cells and proteins you have.”

I wanted to cite this in the article for an unrelated reason. That is factors *beyond* Vitamin D or vaccines that can strongly impact influenza.

To start with, obesity. In the white fat of the body are what are called MAST cell clusters.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mast_cell

They have been described as bags full of histamines and other chemicals that cause an immune response, typically to allergies, but also to the flu. When irritated they not only start to release chemicals, but these chemicals irritate other MAST cell clusters. As such, they are to a great extent responsible for the “cytokine storm” overreaction to new pathogens. Vitamin D is an ACE inhibitor, that helps to moderate these MAST CELL clusters.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ACE_inhibitor

This relates to obesity in an odd way. Because when people become overweight, their increased white fat cells also gets more MAST cell clusters, in a greater than proportional way. So people who are morbidly obese have a LOT of these MAST cell clusters. They strongly impact auto-immune diseases like arthritis and psoriasis, etc.

And beyond a certain amount, vitamin D can’t moderate them any more. This is why obese people are much more susceptible to influenza than people of ordinary weight.

The other notation is about how the semi-metal arsenic can foul the immune system. It interferes with *both* the adaptive and innate parts of the immune system. First by inhibiting the adaptive part, so that it does not detect a new and dangerous pathogen until it gets a foothold in the body. And then, when it does recognize the pathogen, the innate immune system goes wild with a cytokine response, far more than Vitamin D can moderate.

So, don’t eat arsenic. (I’ll note that the USGS allows just a minuscule amount of arsenic in drinking water, and is very serious about it. So the biggest exposure of most people is from wood preservative.)

We need minerals in our bodies, badly. Our soil is depleted from GMO farming..
(sorry! I know that it is not popular!)
We used to have an intake from normal food, no longer.
K2 is a vitamin that helps you upload D3.
My Bottle says…as Menaquinone-7 from fermented chickpea extract 150 mcg.

Epsom is magnesium sulfate, you can use it for a million reasons, however soaking in it along with Baking soda which is Sodium Bicarbonate will relieve your aches and pains, detox your body.and help you rest happily at night.
The Zinc is like an adjective to The Magnesium.. it is all a matter of absorbtion.

Your skin is your fifth largest organ, and it has an enormous effect on your health. I f you cannot do tubs for any reason soak your feet for 30 minutes a day, just cut the recipe to the amount of water.

Daily doses of 400 mg and 50 of zinc will help you sleep like a baby.

I gave my baby drops when he was just a peanut..very minimal..after he got too old to breast feed. He slept like a lamb.
Now he is 21 and refuses to believe me.. but I make him take it when he is home on the holidays… shocking! Sleeps like a lamb.
The dope thinks it has something to do with “coming Home”!
Go figure!
Good Luck and best wishes!

Try a “Far infrared heating pad” Hammacher Schlemmer has one for 149.95
No! I am not advertising this… just happens to be the cheapest one that I have found!
I live on these pads… they have helped me enormously!
Technically..you are not supposed to sleep on them.
I do.
And yes, I have had breast cancer too.

I don’t think the reefer is necessary but it keeps the gelcaps from sticking together. I get them a dozen or two dozen bottles at a time so I have several years worth and they are cheaper that way on line. That many bottles takes up a lot of space and each bottle can usually hold as many as are in three or even 4 bottles so I combine them to shrink the footprint thus I have opened them and that little bit of humidity will cause them to clump up after a time unless kept in the refrigerator.

I call BS on most of these studies. For one thing when an official medical study gets published if you read the fine print it usually involves D that is D_2, not D-3. D-2 is a synthetic with a much narrower set of the substances in D-3 which is naturally derived. The official studies also use miniscule amounts of D and write of 800 as some huge amount. You get that much in a few minutes with your arms bare and shorts on at 2PM on a clear day in July.

What I know is that those of my relatives and acquaintances who rely on D-3 and sunshine, none have got flu or colds. Among those who get flu shots, a majority get some virus each year, some multiple in years of low effectiveness and bad guesses and a couple have become ill within three days after getting the shot. I don’t take the government’s word for much of anything any more. I research stuff that applies to me and mine.

So planting crops in fields for 1000's of years did not deplete the minerals but a couple of decades of planting some crops has sucked all the minerals right out of the soil?

I wonder if you ever listen to yourself.

No. pre modern antibiotics. Pre -WWII. Several effective things went by the board with the widespread availability of penicillin, things like colloidal silver which I use so far effectively for infections. We will see these things come back after we go to full on single (government) payer medicine and pharmaceutical R&D dries up and the extant antibiotics have lost their effectiveness. New ones have to be brought on line regularly as the microbes select to antibiotic-immune varieties. When pharmaceutical R&D has to compete with war costs and welfare payments for funding R&D funding will enter steep decline. No more new antibiotics.

Wife is obese and diabetic. She does not get viruses. Nor do I. I am pretty skinny.

You can prove just about anything to yourself anecdotally, but don’t expect others to do so. If your technique works, great. I like both vitamin D3 and vaccinations, and hopefully that technique will work for me and mine.
