Anyone with some basic fundamental martial arts/self defence training could take on a thug with a baseball bat. It is a very clumsy weapon with a predictable and very telegraphed range of attack options.

May be true. But does that obviate the fact that a bat is an assault weapon and consequently capable of maximum harm and therefore exposed to maximum penalty of self defense(death)?

Sure a bat can be a deadly weapon, but this apparently wasn’t an ordinary bat, it was an armed bat. At least it was, until it was disarmed. I’m just asking with what the bat was armed.
Or should we just agree that Nancy Hayes can’t communicate in English.

Well, I don’t know what kind of set-up you have to have to watch a YouTube video .. but it doesn’t work for me. The ADS take up all the space, and when they pop up, you can’t get rid of them. Then, my system just locks up.
I don’t normally have any problem with YouTube videos .. but this one surely is a first: sign in and give your age. Get real.
