SPRINGFIELD — Freddie Guy, 66, of Springfield, on Thursday denied a charge of animal cruelty in Springfield District Court in a case in which animal welfare authorities say his neighbor's Chihuahua suffered a fatal BB gun shot.
Bail was set at $500 cash for Guy, of 370 Stapleton Road, by Judge John Payne. It is the same bail amount he posted after his arrest.

I grew up in that neighborhood.
Things have certainly changed in the past thirty years.

They just had a segment on the local news from this guys neighborhood. There were several dogs running around wild, with one guy saying they chase him when he is out doing yard work.
Of course that’s no excuse for killing a dog, but there are leash and fence rules for a reason.
As they said in the movies...the made one mistake: he let them see him do it.
