Friday already! So the rain and the cold came in to central Texas which really didn’t matter because all that was in my garden was some tomato stems, a couple of half dead squash plants and a deal eggplant plant.

I go outside the other day to play with the pooch and looking into my garden I see 4 tomato plants, each one almost knee high. The eggplant is growing and in my other 4x4 melon plants have appeared. Given, no fruit will grow and they will eventually die, was just interesting to see.

Best wishes and health to all. Enjoy a great weekend.

That’s what I thought this summer when I saw a volunteer melon growing. I was surprised to have a tasty melon make it to maturity - 1st one in 5 years.

I saved those seeds, and will see if there can be a repeat this next summer. Hope springs eternal. LOL
