Thanks for the pictures. Nice group of fall veggies.

We also had a lot of rain - not sure how many inches, but our swimming pool which was almost empty is now almost running over. (Guttering diverts the roof water into it).

I haven’t heard the forecast this week - I’ll have to check it later - might need to cover up my garlic.

I managed to get some cleanup done in the garden over the weekend in spite of the weather. Tomato plants, peppers, basil and green beans are out. Weed-whacked the spaces where that stuff was growing. The ground is too wet to run the tiller so that will have to wait.

The cold nights have been unkind to my beets. The tops are pretty much done for now. The roots will keep much better in the ground than they would if taken out, so I guess I should toss some mulch on top of them.

I filled a bunch of half-gallon pots with potting soil and planted persimmon, sweet cherry and viburnum seeds. I set the pots in trays in the potting shed and gave them some water. Hopefully some of them will come up in the spring.

I didn’t get to the cold frame repair, but with a four day weekend coming up I should be able to get that knocked out.

Mrs. Augie shot a nice buck yesterday evening. I’ll butcher and pack him after I get off work today.
