Very fortunate that he got the week off from work to camp out there, and was so disciplined to save not only the money for his purchases but to endure the loss of earnings (unless it was vacation time).

They did a local news piece about a couple of women who were in line at Best Buy. They'd been there two days. The reporter asked what their family was doing for Thanksgiving Dinner, they said they didn't care they were here for the big screens! They weren't even Christmas gifts...just more 'me' junk for themselves.

Yes. Black Friday is also economic reference, referring to the holiday rush that gets many retail businesses “in the black”, i.e. profitable.
Therefore, by extension, profits are racist.

I have a hunch stores are now hiring people to do stunts like this, for the publicity value.
Oh no. I live in Podunk U.S.A. and when T.S.C. moved up their black Friday sale to this morning @ 6 am i was the fourth in line there to purchase an item I had been looking at for several years.
There were people standing outside at 5:55 waiting for them to unlock. The kid in front of me said he had been there since 4am.
This was the first and only time I ever got up early to go buy something.. but the item was 300 bucks cheaper than their regular price.
I suspect reports will show low volumes of purchases this fall/winter .
Don’t they know this is offensive?

I loved that $249.00 chicken house with the extended run at TSC...but, I no longer have chickens.
