I don’t have any issues with cats but I think I would have had the cat euthanized in this case.

I'm a cat adorer, and I agree with you. As he ages, the lack of back legs will be an excruciating weight against a quality life. There is nothing cruel about alleviating a condition and an attempted remedy the cat has no understanding about.

Exactly. Just because it might make me feel good to save the cat doesn’t mean it is good for the cat.

However as another poster points out, it may help with advances in prosthetics for people.

Yieks.....sounds like how pro-choice people say about children.....no legs, euthanize them. Life is life.

Animals & people are able to adjust to some very extreme
situations & come out of it better for it. We do the best
we can.
