treason season?
I think Obama and the democrats would love Texas to secede. It would be an easy way for them to tear the country apart, which is their goal.
Texas could control its own borders, north, south, east and west.
everyone will be moving to Texas if Texas secede because the rest of US will be a basket case with Democrat controlling everything
They already have and included in the massive migration are plenty of dems. Not to mention the bazillion muslims that have invaded.
I can’t believe they are going through with this. Those bases will close? The federal lands will be sold back to Texas? the federal highway???? No more Social Security or federal pensions.....no medicare? This will be a big mess if it happens. But it seems like they want to do it. I look forward to the process.

Wouldn’t any secession results take years to gain traction? I would think, the first impulse for most attorneys is to see this as a futile effort by sore losers, and discount it. That’s not how I see it.

Very true....they say that in 20 years, Texas will be voting blue for President. If that happens, the U.S. is dead.
Why is that treason? Separating yourself from those who wipe their ass with the constitution isn’t treason.
Besides, Texas has the right.
If foreigners can move back to their country of origin and collect social security when they retire, so can people in Texas.

Ex patriots can receive social security. Texas pays more taxes to the federal gov’t than it gets back, so with no taxes paid to U.S. Texas can take care of itself. We’ve got oil and a lot of other natural resources.

This is just an attempt to put the question to vote. I went to a tea party meeting and a rep from the succession movement was there and answered all the questions. I don’t see how attorneys can keep the people from voting on a proposition.
