There have been several articles criticizing Outbox. The point, however, is that free enterprise deserves the chance to provide a service a government monopoly is incompetent to provide.

Customers would opt-in for $5 a month with "Outbox" to have their mail redirected, opened, scanned and available online or through a phone app.

$60 / year? Most of my billers are pushing for all electronic, with AT&T offering real money to switch to paperless billing. I can drop the mail I'm not interested in the trash for free. Paper catalogs are still better for browsing than their PDF versions.
