I know people who refuse to give up their flip phones so I doubt this.

I'm one of them. I don't want no damned Smartphone sucking money out of my bank account every month. I've got a phone by my desk at work and I've got a phone at home that my wife (or the machine) usually answers. I've got a flip phone (pay as you go) in the car, which I keep off most of the time unless I'm travelling, expecting a call or need to make a call. A very limited number of people have the number.

I also carry one of those Kindle tablets in case I need to go on-line on the road or want to read on a plane. It gives me a much better picture than a silly smartphones. About the only real use I'd have for a Smartphone is to take pictures of checks to deposit. That would be handy but not enough to justify a monthly fee as long as banks still accept deposits at ATM machines.
