Donald Trump Takes to Twitter, Goes After Ted Cruz
PJ Media ^ | 12-11-2015 | Michael van der Galien

Oh my, it looks like Donald Trump is angry with Ted Cruz:

[QUOTES FROM THE DONALD]

According to the New York Times, Cruz recently told fundraisers that he was convinced voters would flock to him -- rather than to Trump or Ben Carson -- because of national security and foreign policy concerns:

"You look at Paris, you look at San Bernardino, it's given a seriousness to this race, that people are looking for: Who is prepared to be a commander-in-chief? Who understands the threats we face? Who am I comfortable having their finger on the button? Now that's a question of strength, but it's also a question of judgment. And I think that is a question that is a challenging question for both of them."

It's an incredibly mild form of criticism, but it's apparently enough to set off The Donald.

My advice to the billionaire businessman is to Let. It. Go. Ted Cruz's conservative credentials are significantly more impressive than his, which means he can't possibly outflank the senator on the right... and if he comes swinging at Cruz from the left, chances are he'll end up losing his own conservative supporters.

You excerpt. You have willfully ignored the FR search function. And, if pjmedia is a blog, you’ve just earned the trifecta.

It was mild non-criticism from Cruz, and Trump’s response was rather mild non-criticism. I think the mutual admiration pact remains intact for now.

I still say I wouldn’t be surprised if these two have an “understanding”, which would be fine with me. It would look awfully fishy if they never laid even a pinky finger on each other during the whole primary season, especially with Cruz rising in some polls. I still wonder what their meeting was about.

Rand Paul has come out in defense of Trump as well as, now, Carson

Cruz is playing politics. He is a VP contender. Carson will be SG and Rand Paul Dept. of Treasury= audit the fed. The GOP and DNC e cartels are shaking in their boots.

For all of Trump's bluster over this benign statement, the answer might well have simply been "Trump" from the start.

Talk about thin skinned.

I certainly hope that Trump doesn’t fall for the mainstream media & GOP establishment provocations and attempts to disrupt.

I do think the Rovians are hoping to find and exploit a breach between the two. This isn’t it, not yet anyway.

I agree and will continue. I think if the Establishment/Liberals can perform their Kabuki Theaters why can’t us conservative. I feel any criticism between these 2 is “played out”, maybe I’m wrong but that is how I feel.

Nope. Cruz was joining the Jeb and Kasich cry that Trump in unstable, unhinged, etc. when he made his flippant comment about who you would trust with their finger on the button. It was a cheap shot at Trump and til now I would have thought beneath Cruz. Words don't come out of Ted Cruz's mouth by accident. He said it with an intent. Now he must deal with the consequences.

I haven’t read yet about Rand Paul defending Trump. Again, I applaud his actions.

You should take a deep breath and relax. Would you expect Cruz to say that Trump or Carson are better choices that him? Maybe Trump would say that Cruz is the best choice, but I don’t think so. They are both running for the same job so why would they each not declare themselves the best choice. It seems to me that all the derangement is coming from Trump supporters.

A Trump/Cruz ticket will give us Co-Presidents. They're going to send to England for the other Resolute desk along with the bust of Churchill.

Yes. I’m not shy about it: I support Ted Cruz. I hope he wins. But: this is for a very large part an epic battle against the establishment. In order to win, every anti-establishment candidate has to fire shots at the Jeb Bushes and Marco Rubio’s of this world. That’s the only way to break the establishment.
