I hope that we are collecting full intelligence on these Russian tanks’ characteristics while they are out there - including testing ways to destroy them in practice.
This whole operation has been a showcase for Russian weapon systems, and they are increasingly deploying all their best stuff - we should be collecting on them like it is going out of style.
Hope springs eternal ... There apparently is a way to defeat the S-400 system, but there is no indication that the Rayheon system was purchased or deployed. that’s the trouble with our mil spending a sizable portion of its budget on one-size-fits-all weapons in limited quantities, rather than going with cheap, reliable, and gets the job done.
So while counters may exist and new ones found by observations, the real question becomes is there money to purchase and deploy the counters? As someone said about collecting data - its cheap and easy to collect, its the analysis that’s expensive and difficult.
