Your scenario has been a concern, but I just can't see Trump, who doesn't need this to validate himself, destroying his own credibility over the long haul in order to help someone like Hillary win the Presidency. To what end?

I agree about the ‘meek and mild’ being all a twitter about Trump's non-politically correct statements. It's ironic that many in the voting public are conditioned to be made ‘uncomfortable’ by hearing the truth spoken bluntly, but at the same time watch unspeakable behavior in movies and on television and think nothing of it.
