I keep seeing this but I think it misses the mark. There is no mainstream GOP person that is conservative to support. Cruz is the most so but there are still some doubts about him as it relates to immigration and finance (with the GS connections).
Trump represents the best chance to destroy the establishment. The idea that we should support someone who is supposedly more conservative but cannot turn things on its head is a losing proposition.
Beck is a Judas to the right and should be treated as such. If FR’s criticisms of dear old Beck offend thee, feel free to leave.
I tried to gently rebuke him--leaving his name out of the article--at the time of that strange adoration from a usually Conservative voice (Honor & Martin Luther King, but he has continued off on the same tangent.
My suspicion is that he has some sort of guilt complex, but that is only a suspicion. Of course the demonstrable fact is that the Leftist race card players have done almost incalculable damage to the prospects of Negro Americans and other native minority races. But that seems to have escaped Beck's comprehension; which is the major reason for my suspicion that he is driven by something other than reason, when he plays the race card.
I think in Huntsmans case I think he would follow Zinns lead.
I knew this day would come some day...and here it is.
Glenn Beck’s mind has finally rotted away. He started acting squirrely a few years ago and now he has lost his nuts!
For Cruz here but, I have to say that Beck is mentally ill and it’s sad.
Deporting illegals and vetting Muslims is mire conservative than any other candidate.
I don’t need the links, I watched the show. It was a few weeks ago and it was a comparison to the Obama worshipers form 2008. It’s called using the absurdity to make a point.
If the author of the article had any fortitude or integrity he would have posted it in real time instead of waiting for Beck to go on vacation for 2 weeks.
With regards to the Palin dust-up, yes Beck had a completely inappropriate reaction to something she said and called her a “clown show” or some such phrase. He realized he was wrong and apologized on air the next day and admitted that his reaction was inappropriate and that he was out of line with his emotional response. Naturally, this follow up was never covered by his detractors that depend on lies and half truths in their attacks.
Yes, Glenn has taken the position that if Trump wins the primary, then Glenn will vote 3rd party. He will do the same for Jeb, Huckabee, Kasich and Graham (not relevant anymore.) The fact of the matter is that Trump is no conservative, has no conservative core and the rabid trump followers seem to be as unhinged as the Obama crowd in 2008. Just read some of the threads on FR, some of the comments are astounding.
I have no issue with anyone that factually disagrees with Beck, or Levin, or Limbaugh, etc. But I do have issues when they only do so with lies, half-truths or media matters.
A very logical succinct post.
more. dumb tablet
Glenn was a drunk and probably a nasty one. He is seeking atonement by finding a cause and seeking redemption through that cause.
From what I understand about the LDS is that you must help your self, we will help but in the end it is up to you.

Beck sold out to Amer. for Prosperity and Freedom works and endorses only Tea Party Express...ALL run by lobbyists, all open border, amnesty hacks. Beck was down on the border handing out goodies to invading Central Americans last summer, and Ted Cruz was with him! http://hotair.com/headlines/archives/2014/07/19/ted-cruz-joins-glenn-beck-for-soccer-balls-and-teddy-bears-event/

You sound rabid yourself. I find the Trump comments here to be quite intelligent and patriotic, from people that don’t trust Cruz’s lack of directness on immigration and appreciate Trump’s VERY conservative positions on immigration and national security.
Let in hordes of illegals and Muslims and our country will be destroyed quickly. None of the other issues will matter. But Trump’s 2a and tax policies are also top-notch.
If you want to see unhinged posters, look for the Cruz posters here - you’d think you wandered into DU with all the insults and lack of substantial ideas and facts. They aren’t capable of backing up their candidate so instead personally attack his supporters. (much like your post did). Pretty classless.
“Beck is a Judas to the right and should be treated as such. If FRâs criticisms of dear old Beck offend thee, feel free to leave.”
I have no issue with criticisms based on factual information. I’ve been away from FR for a couple/three months and after reading this thread, a couple of Trump threads, a couple more Cruz threads and a Levin thread I am amazed at the degredation of the quality of posters on this site. There is a very sizable group of unhinged kooks that are stinking up the place.
So, when I point out lies and express disappointment in that being acceptable to, and even endorsed by FReepers, you suggest that I leave. Maybe it is time for you to do a bit of self introspection.
“ppreciate Trumpâs VERY conservative positions on immigration and national security.”
Is that the same Trump that was out trashing Romney for his “strong stance on immigration” and the same Trump that trashed GWB along with the rest of the left?
The fact of the matter is that Trump is simply a populist. What happens when the populist message flips back to the left?
I didn’t say that EVERY poster was unhinged, in fact I didn’t even limit that classification to Trump supporters. There is ample evidence right on this thread.
W and Romney were not conservatives, so Trump not being for them doesn’t worry me.
What does worry me is Cruz being vague on the illegals here. He has pro-amnesty donors, was silent for months about illegals, his recent plan is vague, he cannot utter the word ‘deport’, without real deportations the motivation for self-deportation is significantly reduced (Romney’s plan as well). And using lawyer-speak phrases like ‘I intend...’ is worrisome for someone so gifted with words and for being exact about what he is debating. I think he is an upright and honest person, so is trying hard not to lie. I do give him kudos for that.
Glenn Beck-Lonesome Rhodes. What’s in a name?
