Just wanted to say Merry Christmas to everyone but also say thanks to those who work on the holidays to keep us safe and sound.
People like doctors and nurses, security and forces from the security guard at the front desk, police officers, fire fighters, medics and most importantly our men and women in uniform. To those who work in the service industries whether assuring we have fuel to travel, food for nourishment, power, media and internet and the maintenance folks who back them up either on duty or on call. And let's not forget the ambassadors of the asphalt, those 18 wheel road jockeys who have deliveries either Christmas day or the day after.
I'm sure I've overlooked scores of occupations that have mom or dad at work instead of at home with family.
And finally, Merry Christmas to the Free Republic family. We may be like any other family with fusses and feuds, but the bottom line is we care about our country, our future and each other.
Again, Merry Christmas.
The good offices of Free Republic kept my soldiers well and remembered downrange. Now we have this.
