I am sorry, as much money as I pay in taxes for the government to piss away, I am sure that $1.70 is not going to break the bank.

I agree. I’m really irked at the people who are calling it stealing. They throw away whatever isn’t eaten every meal which according to the lunch lady is plenty.
Giving palatable food to a hungry child is a kindness which should be part of the lady’s job in a sane world. If a child was coming every day saying they had no money, time for a discrete call home. Otherwise its just part of normal operating procedure for an occasional emergency. These are kids! The cost of preparing and serving the food was not increased by feeding this child. The powers that be should be ashamed for trying to “hold the line” in such an indefensible way.

I have been on both sides of giving and need.
And while you feel that your taxes are quite sufficient and that $1.70 is fine for someone else to give away, I prefer that MY GENEROSITY
comes from MY POCKET. (beyond what I give in taxes)
So while your tapping yourselves on the back for your SUPPOSED generosity, and kicking me in my balls for supposed lack thereof, their are those of us who are generous WITH OUR OWN CASH.
