dead hawk when a Yankee drove up beside Little Thibodaux and
asked the boy "Where're you going with that hawk?"

Little Thibodaux said to the Yankee "Gonna make me some gumbo".

The Yankee asks "Well, what does Hawk Gumbo taste like?"

Boudreaux was in court for shooting and eating a pelican. The judge asked him why he did it.

Boudreaux replied " My wife and kids were starving so I had to get them something to eat. The pelican was the easiest."

The judge replied " well under the circumstances I'll let you off with a warning this time. Just don't do it again. Oh, and by the way? What did it taste like?

To which Boudreaux replied " kinda like a cross between an Owl and an Eagle."
