Missing a deadine won't kill Martin's career. Douglas Adams, one of the most successful SciFi/comedy writers in the 70's through the early 21st century said this of deadlines: "I like deadlines. I love the
whooshing noise they make as they go by." Lackadaisical, Adams sometimes could be. But he was also a hell of a good writer and tremendous wit. Success forgives many sins. I daresay this will be true of Mr. Martin.
