Maybe not the most appropriate place to post this, but I am wondering, is it not possible for the next president to sign and executive order (on the first day, if possible), cancelling all of Obama's executive orders immediately? Similarly, could he not also waive Obamacare laws for all 320 million Americans? I don't know if that would happen, but what would stop it?

I would prefer to see him reverse the waivers given by Obama quickly followed by giving waivers for the rest of the country.

Goose, gander.....

Actually, my real dream would be a president that follows the constitution. A guy can dream.

I’d rather see the new Pres work with Congress to pass a fast law abrogating all of Obama’s EOs and cancelling O’Care. Keep it all legal and constitutional. Restoring the rule of law should be the #1 goal of the POTUS as part of the effort to restore constitutional authority and supremacy.

Yes. He has paved the way for imperial presidents in the future. He need only specifically name the EO’s that he is rescinding.

He can also eliminate most of Obamacare by directing the cabinet departments that administer it to no linger administer it. He can do that and then pass new legislation through the legislature to completely kill it.

Cruz also said that if elected, he will rescind every illegal and unconstitutional executive order Obama has issued, including any that take away the gun rights of Americans.

Cruz is Constitutional and KEEPS his Promises.

Interesting. Waiving Obamacare for the balance of the American population who didn’t get to be exempted from Obamacare. The precedent has already been set with Obama waiving all those other groups & congress.

Both are completely possible. In fact, I would be disappointed if either did not happen. The president can give lifetime waivers to all individuals and all companies. Obama already set the precedent of waivers for Obamacare, and a real president could carry that precedent to a productive extreme.

I like the idea because it removes the liberal leverage for a bad replacement from the "repeal and replace" mantra.
