I remember the plantation. It is right in the center of Maui.
I’d be worried about typhoons in that area. That is in the lowland area where the typhoon water would be funneled between Haleaklala and the western mountain/Iao Valley.

I'd be worried about typhoons in that area. They call them hurricanes in Hawaii. They call them typhoons west of the International Date Line.
