The “curse of inherited wealth” is a subject worth discussing.

Inherited wealth comes in many forms. Almost all are corrupting and disabling.

Perhaps the only inheritance that is truly beneficent is “divine grace.”

Except for divine grace, we generally cherish only gifts that we earn

You are correct. I read a book about millionaires some years ago. The children of millionaires who learned how to make money and were not automatically showered with loads of money from their rich parents fared better in life than the children of wealthy parents who gave their children gobs of money and gifts without teaching them how to earn their money and use money wisely.

My sister blew thru $55,000 in about 9 months that she inherited. Every time I called her I could hear a party going on. Once the money was gone the party ended.
