Students at the Oxford Union voted on Tuesday night to remove the controversial statue of Cecil Rhodes with 245 ayes and 212 noes as part of a wider movement of "decolonisation" of the curriculum at the university.

Who cares what the students think? Why should we care what the students think?

They come there to learn not to teach. They will be gone in a few years and a new class will be there with different ideas of how things should be run. Why bow and scrape to please a temporary whim of temporary occupants?
