Yes.

It’s easy to use public polls to show, ostensibly, public support for Progressive policies. But the only thing that really matters is whether that “supportive” public is willing to vote on them.

Gun control and global warming being two really good examples. If the public really wanted gun control, really wanted drastic action on global warming, elected officials at all levels of government would reflect it.

The Dems problem is that they have become obsessed with issues that are only important to a handful of wealthy donors.

Climate Change, Gun Control, Bash Israel and Green Energy.

If they adopted a populist economic platform (raise the minimum wage, raise SS payments, forgive student loans, send some Wall Street bankers to jail) they will start to do much better.

I suspect they will adopt those tactics sooner rather than later.

Curious if the public REALLY wanted gun control would they have millions of guns they have?

Just a thought.
