And then on the other side Cruz is apologizing for the Carson is getting out of the race lie. Coupled with the Iowa mailer and Id say I’m ok with the

occasional whacky trump tweet.

I am a Trump supporter, but this tweet actually ticks me off. He needs to learn to think before he shoots his mouth off, either in person or online.

Not meaning to be snarky but... I thought this was part of his charm...?

Why spend his own money if he isn’t going to get credit for it.

Maybe Melania said, enough is enough. Stop burning the cash.

Problem is he will lose a big part of his platform if he accepts big donations.

From what understand from feedback of those on the ground watching events unfold, a ‘ground game’ IN IOWA consists of various precinct captains aggressively steering caucus goers to the areas of supporters for their candidate, and if the goers hesitate or seem disinclined, then a flurry of confusion is induced to disorient them on where they need to go.

In other words, Iowa is ripe for abuse.

Further feedback from actual people on the ground in NH and also in SC states that such pandemonium and opportunities for disorientation are relatively nonexistent as compared to Iowa.

I am nonplused at Cruz supporters who think that the Cruz backers that offered $1.5 million to vets in return for 1-on-1 debate between Trump and Cruz are equivalent in ethics to Trump’s demand for $5 million from Fox News. The two actions are not equivalent.

Trump raised $6 million for vets without precondition. Cruz backers attached political conditions to their $1.5 million.

To earn my respect, Cruz backers needed to announce they were donating $1.5 million to vets AND ALSO attending the Fox News debate. That would have made the bigger people, bigger in spirit.

But as it is Donald took care of the vets, the Cruz backers played games.

And I have heard that the activists in the Cruz ‘ground game’ also played games in Iowa.

Cruz activists are not to be trusted in my view.

I didn’t think it was possible for trump to stay quiet that long.

Just saying.

It was not spoken as sour grapes. If you listen to his commentary after the voting yesterday and this morning, he has been upbeat.

Savage just pointed out that Iowa is a lefty state and a “agrarian socialist” mind set. He postulated that if Rubio had not been in the race, most of those votes would have gone to Cruz and Trump would have gotten killed. So, the result for Trump was better than it could have been.

Why am I always asked to check a box if I want $1.00 of my taxes to help Presidential Candidates get to the White House. I think there is money to be HAD, if he filed the right paper work.

Except if I recall correctly, those federal funds are matching funds, and come along with so many spending limit strings attached that the last few election cycles both major party candidates declined the matching funds.

You are exactly right. Donald was just on the Howie Carr radio show. Donald said exactly what you wrote. He felt like people didn’t care that he was self funding his campaign, and that he had turned down millions of dollars. He was just wondering if he should now start taking money from his friends.

????????????

Anybody can issue a bogus tweet. Maybe it comes from the same Cruz guy rewsponsible for the Carson drop out story.

Once Trump and Cruz demolish themselves over this stupid crap, only Rubio is in the way of Jebber. Unless of course, Goldman Sachs and the other Crony Capitalists succeed in buying Rubio off with their filthy money.

Donald Trump speaks his mind, unfiltered to a fault.
He lacks discretion and better judgement, which are very crucial qualities for running as USA president and military commander-in-chief.
He’s the wrong conservative POTUS candidate, for this reason and many more.

BTW: I’m not happy with Ted’s issues either.

RE: “To my point of view it appears sour grapes he didn’t win last night. I believe he will regret posting this albeit never stating as much.”

I agree with you there. Cruz is doing some really snarky things that are more meaningful (in a bad way). Doesn’t mean the Donald doesn’t need to show better judgment, especially in his tweets.

Who has personal skin in the game? Trump has his entire family business name on the line here. He is putting the franchise at financial risk. I consider that a commendable risk by someone who loves the country. Frankly, while it would be a feather in his hat to become president he is putting his money where his mouth is, not someone else”s and he is not beholding to anyone. Maybe one of these days someone will actually take note of that.

Smells like . . .bullsh!t.

When anyone discusses a tweet, it’s customary to post a screen cap of the tweet(s) being discussed. Where’s the screen cap @realDonaldTrump?
Oh wait. There ISN’T one.

This wouldn’t happen to be another lie, would it?

what’s there to worry about? tomorrow is still going to come and the one after that.

if he loses i’ll vote for trump.

they are JUST MEN. like us.

i hope they do a great job but if the country has no moral fiber left, like it DID in the 80s, when gay marriage and 8 year old transsexuals weren’t around and jenner was still a man, it wont matter who wins
