Why am I always asked to check a box if I want $1.00 of my taxes to help Presidential Candidates get to the White House. I think there is money to be HAD, if he filed the right paper work.
Except if I recall correctly, those federal funds are matching funds, and come along with so many spending limit strings attached that the last few election cycles both major party candidates declined the matching funds.
I think that’s only for the general election. Remember the flap when Obama was going to accept “matching funds”, then reneged so he could outspend McCain by hundreds of millions? That was that “tax form” money.
