Fallout 4 maker Bethesda is working on 3 new games

"We are doing three longer-term projects," Howard said. "We'll talk about them in future. They are different from anything we have done before, while also being a Bethesda-style game."

Holmes asked Howard again. And he said, "I teased enough. I'll get in trouble."

Much of the talk was a victory lap for Fallout 4, which had a team of 100 people and was in the works for four years, following the debut of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim role-playing game in 2011.

Howard said he was grateful for the success of Fallout 4, an open world game with 100,000 lines of dialogue and immense spaces full of objects you can interact with, from a companion dog to ash trays that you can collect. Howard said the game is expansive to suit whatever fans want to do.

A couple co-workers and myself are eagerly awaiting the Fallout 4 online multiplayer version. You have to know that with Elder Scrolls Online, Bethesda will make a Fallout version also. We’ll probably have to take vacation that first week it’s out.

Saving

Manual and quicksaving are disabled. To save your game, you’ll need to find a bed and sleep for at least an hour.

Combat

Combat is more lethal for everyone. You now deal, but also take, more damage. You can increase the damage you deal even further with “Adrenaline” (see below).

Fast Travel

Fast Travel is disabled. If you wish to be somewhere, you’ll have to physically travel there.

Weighted Ammo

Bullets and shells now all have a small amount of weight, which varies by caliber. Heavier items such as fusion cores, rockets, and mini-nukes can really drag you down.

I was gonna play again after the first playthrough, never fast-traveling. This makes the choice FOR me.

I love the ammo restrictions. It made New Vegas so much better. You had to think during your loadout. I hate having 8000 rounds of .45 and zero penalty.
