One thing stuck out, I think you pounced prematurely and put words into my mouth: "And yes, I will do what is right instead of what is expedient.". That in itself is filled with blind pride. When I say 'be right' I am talking about 'by the book' and I did not say 'expedient.' I said 'what works.' I did not say 'what works temporarily'.
I said, 'what works'.
This would not be the first time God has employed one other than one who appeared as a pristine Son to do His good work. All sorts of knaves and rubes have served him well, often more honorably than those who are far far far from being new to the church.
I only ask you to ask yourself 'could I be mistaken?' ... as I do just about every moment of the day, although far be it from me to write that way.
I'll re-read yours in full tomorrow ... may not respond, but will give it full attention.
The irony of your post is not missed.
Richard Burr is my Senator, I voted for him. He is dead to me now, will never vote for him again. My opinion, he is 199% a Washington Player, the scratch my back kind.
My father was in attendance for the laying to rest of the Unknown Soldier from the Korean conflict.
I’m watching and reading it.
It’s disgustingly sad, not amazing.
History is replete with examples of people who went berserk for a dear leader who promises to make them great again through hope and change.
I don’t care who you cheer for as candidate for president. That the vast majority supposedly on ‘our side’ vaunt these people as political saviors is beyond frightening to anyone with a modicum of understanding of history.
Go look what he’s done now. Rather than reconcile his past thoughts about what it meant to say “Bush lied, people died,” he’s now posted a screed about how the very decision to support Jeb in his campaign has forever destroyed any favorable opinion he ever had of the Bush family. In other words, that’s his way of saying any criticism of George W. Bush on Iraq, including Trump’s “they lied” claim, is now fair game, when just last year, he was adamant that such statements were “vicious political attacks” delivered by “moonbats.”
He’s gone totally off the rails in his Trump devotion.
Cruz never denied the robo calls, but spoke to always delivering truth, justice and the American way, to every thing he ever does.
Rubio even mentioned the Cruz robo call tactics, against TRUMP, in an interview where he was giving examples of Cruz’ tactics of habitual misrepresentations. Rubio called them “lies”.
Cruz problem is he lies by omission. He stages nearly 20 year old opinions of another candidate, in his ads, and attributes them as if they were held today.
I’m just not into reading what Sundance spews. He’s a hack.
Invar, I’m not a supporter of Hitler or anyone like Hitler.
What the hell is wrong with you people. If I’m misrading your intent, I apologize, but you honestly think Trump would attack neighboring countries, toss Jews, the affirmed, and homosexual into boxcars and transport them to internment camps?
Some folks here have no how idea how absurd they are being in with intent to correct their fellow brethren, who are not at all backing a Hitler.
That you feel you have to go to those lengths to make a point, causes me to think your point was lot in the process.
Did I say you supported Hitler? Did I say Trump was Hitler?
If Iâm misrading your intent, I apologize, but you honestly think Trump would attack neighboring countries, toss Jews, the affirmed, and homosexual into boxcars and transport them to internment camps?
You obviously failed to comprehend the point. Rabid mob mentalities rarely afford the True Believer the ability to comprehend observations subtle or blunt.
Suffice it to understand that I did not say anything about Trump doing any of those things, implied or suggested he would do those things Hitler did.
I am talking about the mob mentality that exists among throngs of rabid supporters of political saviors and what, historically has resulted by mobs that ascribe all the hopes and changes they expect from a dear leader they are convinced will save them and their world.
I also noted that a Constitutional Republic cannot exist or be maintained in this day and age, with the political mentalities that now make up the majority of thinking in this country.
Some folks here have no how idea how absurd they are being in with intent to correct their fellow brethren, who are not at all backing a Hitler.
Your average German had no idea they were backing a genocidal madman either, but that tends to happen when people ignore what their vaunted political messiahs actually say that conflicts with the fevered emotional rhetoric without substance they are convinced is the blueprint to salvation.
That you feel you have to go to those lengths to make a point, causes me to think your point was lot in the process.
As you so illustrated in this reply - you couldn't comprehend the point, no matter how blunt and plain it was made.
I love how you folks toss out the dramatic warnings involving Hitler, and then blame it on the person responding for pointing out the absurdity of even bringing Hitler into it.
On the other hand, if we bring up that Heidi actually worked for one of the leading globalist concerns on the planet, and entity pushing for a North American Union, we’re told we shouldn’t worry about that at all, and that it’s not Ted anyway.
I think we have more to fear from the CFR Goldman Sach’s connections myself, and those actually are germane.
Fine then. Stalin. Mao. Castro. Mussolini. Idi Amin. Robspierre - take your pick of men a mob chose to represent their True Believer zeal for change based on the rallies their political messiahs hold and the slogans they run on.
It's only absurd if you think the timeless fact of history and human nature cannot happen here, when it already has and our Founders warned us it would happen if we were not vigilant and adherent to the foundational principles they insisted we uphold.
But then True Believers are not capable of perceiving their folly into self-destruction.
Okay, well you believe that Trump veges on being one of those folks if you like.
I’m not buying in.
I’m tired for backing wusses like Bush. Bush wouldn’t even defend himself, much less our beliefs.
Trump will.
Thanks for making my entire point, True Believer.
Yeah, I support a candidate.
Imagine that.
Thanks for the tip.
Speaking of Romney, I voted for him with no enthusiasm, but not because he was Mormon, but because he is a wuss. I think he would have made a decent president, though. In that second debate with Obama, when he chose not to bring up Benghazi, told me all I needed to know about Romney.
Romney thought he was going to win and I read in the last year, Romney was so certain he was going to win, he did not have a concession speech ready. They had to scramble to put one together.
He was ahead in the polls, but decided to play prevent defense. He let Obama define him and did not respond well. I put the blame on Romney.
