That the Crusades has become a slur to be thrown at an enemy is just appalling.
Control the language of the debate and you have won just by showing up.
It is truly staggering, isn’t it? I deal with it in my kid’s history books continuously. The crusades saved modern civiliation. I shudder to think what the world would be today without the actions of Martel, Sobieski and so many others. My kid is the only one in his class that understands it. That fact should scare the hell out of everyone.
