I don't remember how I discovered this, but as soon as I did, our family stopped buying from them.
We support L.L. Bean. They not only have fantastic customer service, but their owners are pro-life -- an oddity in Maine.
Free shipping with LL Bean....
Exactly...and I just posted something similar on their Facebook page. I got (on sale) one of their floral button up sweaters that I wore today to a doc apptmt...and I love it! I also have some of their knit dresses...I’m a very good customer!
This CEO appears to be Italian, maybe brought on to give the brand some international panache?
I feel for the workers..the lady I spoke with was “very sorry” and assured me my opinion Really mattered. They are the ones who will suffer from thisbone head move.....makes you almost understand the Bern...but he’s a GS fan, isn’t he?
Really? I never knew r was aware of it...
This In Your Face move opened MY eyes....
Double L ...better quality. Better fit....more true to *sizes*.
Fantastic warranty.
I’m with you, yuuuuuge Lands End fan, but won’t do business with them now with this management/communications/advertising team.
The last few years they don’t seem to have anywhere near the selection of different items that they used to have. Plus, lately, if they do have an item I’m interested in, they don’t have it in stock in my size.
I just figured their lack of inventory was a symptom of their being acquired by Sears and by Sears heading fast into oblivion, if not bankruptcy.
“Hence the JCP reference...”

Gotcha ! :-)
.
The new CEO is some Italian Euro trash supposed to give some hotness to the Sears brand, which is American. I was about ready to buy some spring things!! Not now. The shoes are made of Planned Parenthood scraps-—
The old queer sporting adult diapers?
I’m still wearing Land’s End tank tops from 20 years ago and they look great. A couple years ago I wanted some in other colors so ordered the same tops — or so I thought. They were crap. Cheap and thin.
Ditto for a couple of Land’s End dresses from long ago, too. The new stuff is junk.
I was a regular customer until SEARS bought them out. They’ve been going downhill ever since.
Sears spun them off in 2014.
Not sure if they are rebuilding or maintaining.
Sad they feel the need to do this. I would prefer to profile staff personnel if they must “showcase” people. Give recognition to people that matter to the business!
If Linda Bean is still running L.L. Bean, she is a solid right winger and that is economics, social issues and everything else unless she has changed since I left New England.
My people are from Maine. We used to go up there and always make a midnight run through the Freeport store, handling everything in sight, so when we went to order, we knew what it looked like. Great stuff. The night shift people were great customer service, would do anything for you. Never had a bad experience. Bought some decks shoes once that I beat the hell out of and after 3 years, needed to get new ones. I was on the phone with a gal and she said just send those back I’ll send you a new pair. And they did.
I always get Lands End confused with Territory Ahead because their both sort of geography terms. Territory Ahead has some great clothing and jackets but the prices are usually premium.
Totally agree...show case the people who make the product work, not some elitist, over paid, lib, abortion lover....
