Ditto my friend

I long for the good old days around here.

Hopefully, a president Trump will be everything his conservative supporters hope he will be. I would not be happy nor surprised to see him be a lot worse than what I think he might be.

Hey, but there will be a lot of unhappy folks that we don’t like being unhappy, so that is great! Right?

Steve Chapman - have you heard about the 60,000,000 dead babies?

The burden of their deaths is crushing America. Please don’t pretend to be virtuous.

re: “I was listening to a bit of Rush going on today about the anti-Trump media. I honestly don’t think he even RECOGNIZES that he’s been one of them!”

He’s not.

Our whole lives we have been told to color between the lines, to do what is acceptable in polite society and solve problems in a conventional way. Don't go against the grain and don't make waves. Vote for our guy.

I think the stampede behind Trump in this presidential election cycle is a manifestation of the anger people have felt over the decades at the politically elite establishment and power brokers in this country, telling us that what and who they want is more important than what we-the-people want. Not a physical, violent sort of anger, but a subtle, "Trump is our guy and he's going to be the Republican nominee for president and what are you going to do about it GOP?" type of anger.

People are fed-up and are revolting in their own way against the status quo by supporting an outsider for a change. It looks to me like we have got the GOP elites by the short-hairs for a change and not the other way around. This country was founded, after all, on the Constitution which begins.... "We The People."

But whoever ends up winning the primary, they had better beat that lying witch on the RATS' side in the general election or it's a moot question anyway. Arguing over who is an insider or not, is more conservative than the other guy or not, who is the most religious or not, is only wishful thinking if we don't win in November. This party need to coalesce behind a winner and wholeheartedly back that candidate. Or we'll shoot ourselves in the foot again. A waste of time well spent.

Oh yes he is, because he dared to defy the Donald’s narrative that Cruz is a nasty nasty liar liar pants on fire!

The attacks on a truly good man, both Ted Cruze and Rush Limbaugh are disheartening and troubling.

Amen. I have always felt that Carter’s “A government as good as its people” blather was the only thing he got right. Unfortunately, the larger portion of the “people” were lazy, evil, dishonest, incompetent, selfish, and hateful then, though that was a Golden Age compared to now.

Trump event; North Augusta, South Carolina 2/16/16

The protester is carrying the message from the politicians, lobbyist, donors, influence peddlers, the well connected and those with motives of bad intent

Even on less visceral matters, Trump sees boundaries as something to violate without compunction. His tax plan would swell the federal budget deficit by $10 trillion over the next decade.

Spoken like Walter Mondale. National Review has hit rock bottom. It's one thing to point out those areas where Trump differs from the usual conservative platform (on free trade), it's another thing to denounce Reaganomics using the same lame arguments tax and spend liberals have been puking up for decades.

Do people on FR sit at their computers day and night just looking for these negative articles to post.

You just want only the nice articles posted, snowflake?

There is a lot of insight available from leftie sources. I enjoy their sufferings as documented in this article. Ok sorry about the snowflake reference - but you get the idea that we have a lot of elbows being thrown around here at FR and thick skin is good to have.

Interesting photo with the story. Someone sees that, and thinks it’s terrible. I see smiling Americans, enjoying the moment, waving the American flag as opposed to the way its been treated the last few decades.
