My complaint is just what I said. Trump is being dishonest when he says he is funding his own campaign. He loans the campaign money, the campaign spends money, donors give money to the campaign, the campaign pays Trump back the loan. He is out nothing, it is all paid for by donations. IF he wins the nomination all pretense will be gone and he will be out begging for money like everyone else, and his supporters will say he is different because he won’t promise the big money people anything in return. It will be a lie, but they won’t care, as always.
It’s politics and Trump has been a player for a long time.
The campaign is a company. Why wouldn’t you lend money to it instead of giving it as a capital injection? From a tax perspective, the former is better. I’m presuming that the campaign pays taxes—maybe you can clarify this.
