Not lying, stretching the truth.

” essentially dodged the draft in Vietnam through multiple deferments”

receiving deferments was never the same as draft dodging unless the deferments were obtained illegitimately for the specific purpose of avoiding the draft.

Trump had his own Viet Nam:

“I’ve been so lucky in terms of that whole world,’ he said of sexually transmitted diseases. ‘It is a dangerous world out there,’ he said. ‘It’s scary, like Vietnam. Sort of like the Vietnam-era.’ ‘It is my personal Vietnam. I feel like a great and very brave soldier.’

Cruz could have volunteered. He did not. He let other people go in his place.

“Bone spurs?”

They can be very painful and limiting. A few years ago a LEO buddy had to retire early cuz he could no longer limp around. Bone spurs in his feet. Operations on each foot, and a pretty long recovery time.

Which is why he plays golf, though it is a bit perplexing, since he still has sex and doesn’t wear ugly pants.

He didn’t lose his legs. I’m sure he drives around on the golf course....a lot different than crawling around the jungle slowing down and putting in danger those who serve with you. If he was medically disqualified by military doctors, this is a non issue.

John McCain received citations but not one of his citations described as required in military manuals a specific act of heroism, not one. The reason he received the citations is because he was an Admiral’s boy and nothing more than that.

McCain is highly decorated with empty citations. He was and is a fraud.

Yes he suffered as a POW but so did countless others who were wounded and left to die in the jungles of Vietnam.

Suffering is not a citable action for heroism unless it was to save lives or accomplish a critical mission. All of this is clearly described in military manuals for citations. I posted direct links and sources last year that left zero room for argument.

People that learn the truth about McCain become angry and angrier still when he calls anyone supporting Trump ‘crazy’. He called the 15,000 Trump supporters in AZ “crazies”. And you can bet he’s cackling over those like Beck who are insinuating that Trump supporters are Nazis.

Ted’s dad fled to Canada during the draft.

Did the Canadian and the Cuban file for selective service?

Trump’s exposure to the draft, however, didn’t last long. Two months later, on Sept. 17, 1968, he reported for an armed forces physical examination and was medically disqualified, according to the ledger from his local Selective Service System draft board in Jamaica, N.Y., now in the custody of the National Archives.

You don’t understand Draft Lottery Numbers, do you?

In order for him to be drafted with that number, essentially every eligible man in the entire country in that “year group” would have been drafted.

Didn’t realize the numbers corresponded to day of the year (birthdate). My mistake.

Scroll down the the 7th paragraph and it starts telling about all the deferments he got.

Are you saying that there is actual evidence of Bill Clinton's military deferments?

While that is indeed huge, I'm still waiting to see John F'n Kerry's military medical records that substantiated his 3 purple hearts that resulted in his early out.............

Can ya help this brutha out?

I did not render judgment either way. I am merely providing info instead of just spouting off. Personally, given his wealth and connections I think it highly likely that he used all legal means to avoid service.

Do you really not see that you are doing exactly what you are saying you are not doing all in the same paragraph?

Hillary, naturally.

He may be too young to understand that lottery system. I thank God my brother got a high number. We spent a horrible summer (I don’t remember which year - blanked it out) worrying that he would be drafted - and die needlessly in a war that was not fought to be won.

No I didn’t understand - Looked up and realized the number corresponded to birthday. Makes sense now. Amazing at 55 years old I am still learning things I should have in the public school system.
