Robert, if Trump doesn’t get the requisite # of delegates it is entirely proper for a contested election to ensue. it will not be UNFAIR and it will not be ILLEGAL and will not be THEFT. Those are the rules. A+++ but I will bet you $ if Trump is denied in any way, he will SUE. bc that’s what he does.
Trump’s a winner who wins. He’ll win so much that we’ll get tired of winning.
Getting to 50% +1 of the delegate should be easy.
If he doesn’t do that, then he isn’t the winner and nothing can be “stolen” from him.
This isn’t Nam, there are rules. Politics is about putting coalitions together. If one guy has 35% support, but can’t bring in a few other delegates to his side, then he isn’t the winner.
Trump is so good at making deals, though, I wouldn’t worry about it. “The winner who makes great deals, who doesn’t win enough delegates and can’t make a deal” doesn’t make a very compelling story.
