Some sort of alliance between Trump and Cruz would make a whole lot of sense. Unfortunately I think Trump blew that up with all of the birther stuff early on.
Since posting in this thread, I have seen the news that Neil Bush, Jeb's brother, has signed on as Ted's finance chair. That, I think, throws a whole new light on it. It seems Ted is throwing in 100 percent with Bush, Romney and the establishment. Anyone who is with the establishment is against America, in my view. Not sure if I can look at Ted as a good fallback or Veep or even a solid conservative any more. Conservative means you hate the things that the establishment stands for, first and foremost.
