Donald Trump holds a wide lead over Marco Rubio in Florida, but the GOP frontrunner is tied with John Kasich in Ohio, according to a Quinnipiac University survey released Monday.

The poll, which comes on the eve of several winner-take-all primaries on Tuesday, found Trump is leading Rubio in his home state by 24 percentage points. Forty-six percent of the state's Republican voters said they'd back the billionaire businessman and 22 percent said they'd support their senator. Fourteen percent said they would support Ted Cruz while 10 percent said they would back Kasich.

Trump leads Rubio among both men and women in Florida and also leads among those who identified themselves as members of the Tea Party and those who called themselves "moderate or liberal."

In Ohio, meanwhile, Trump is tied with Kasich where 38 percent of the state's GOP primary voters back both the the billionaire and their governor. Sixteen percent said they support Cruz and 3 percent back Rubio.

I’m hoping that Trump defeats both Rubio and Kasich.

I think Trump runs away with all states and one with more than 50% (Maybe Florida).

Kasich pulled in Mitt Romney, talked about amnesty and seemed a little cranky today. I think he’s worried.

I'm loving the posts of Cruz supporters casting their votes in Ohio. Heck, I hope Cruz really outperforms in Ohio (like 20% or something) as all his votes are depleting votes for Kasich. Cruz has NO chance to win Ohio.

Keep in mind that if, on the eve of the primary, Trump is tied with Kasich, it means he is surging! (Polls supposedly had him down 5-6% in recent days). I stand by my prediction -- Trump wins Ohio by 2.5% +- .5%.

I wonder if that takes into account the independents who don’t normally vote in primaries but are doing so to cast their vote for Trump.

Keep in mind that Missouri is winner take all after 50%.
If Trump goes over 50% in Missouri...then no need to win Ohio.

He has attacked her repeatedly. He shut her down her when he went after Bill’s “womanizing” record. Once he locks up the nomination, the attacks on Hitllary will be never ending.

I live in a democrat stronghold.I had to stand in line this morning to vote in Chauncey Ohio .Unusual for a primary.I personally saw 10 people switch to republican from democrat.3 of them said they were life long democrats but they wanted to make America Great Again. This is an area that lost thousands of jobs due to coal mine and coal power plant closures. They looked to be at least in thier 80s.I live right beside the poling location and the lines to vote havent stopped all day.Extremely high turnout.Go TRUMP ! I distrusTED and Kasich is Mitts BFF.This Low Information Voter voted for Trump!

Your picture is stupid. He mentions Hillary at most rallies. He says she is ineligible to run and she should be prosecuted or jailed.

Keep on hatin'.

Yes Kasich sounds very much like an American version of Obama — the last thing we need is more if the same abuse we’ve had these last seven years.
