Can somebody explain what happened in Colorado?
It appears that on March 1 the CO Republican party decided there would be no public vote. And today party member caucus results were released and they're all for Cruz. Is this right?
The voters were denied a vote.
Likewise in WY.
I can not vote in primaries as I am listed as unaffiliated
COLORADO SPRINGS Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz effectively won Colorado on Friday, as he claimed a majority of the state’s 37 national delegates.
The Texas senator dominated the seven early delegate contests at the congressional district level, a clean sweep that earned him 17 bound national delegates and an additional four unpledged delegates who declared support for his campaign.
To officially win the state, according to party leaders, he needs 19 bound delegates: a mark he is expected to reach Saturday at the state GOP convention in Colorado Springs.
Our problems probably can’t be fixed through electoral politics anyway.
The CO delegates were originally slated for Jeb Bush.
Since he has suspended his campaign, the place holder is Cruz, who will control those delegates until the RNC, then, after a few slight of hand tricks, they are lasted to go for Jeb once again.

The people of Colorado had their vote taken away from them by the phony politicians. Biggest story in politics. This will not be allowed!
AmeriKans finally learning what kind of 3rd world dictators they have been living under for all these years.
“The voters were denied a vote.”

Actually, Republicans who showed up to participate got to vote. Cruz supporters showed up—fewer Trump supporters bothered. NOBODY WAS DENIED A VOTE IF THEY WANTED TO VOTE AFTER SHOWING UP.
If blame the LOW-ENERGY, POORLY ORGANIZED TRUMP CAMPAIGN.
Nope.
Not only didn’t Registered Republicans vote, the caucus members who voted for Trump in the “practice round” were KICKED OUT of the Caucus and replaced with caucus members who would vote for Cruz!
LOL, this is naked Stalinism, folks.
I don’t know about everywhere else, but in Colorado the people voted on the delegates for their county conventions. Those conventions selected the delegates for the next round of conventions who chose the national delegates awarded for the Congressional Districts. They also chose who went to the state convention, who then in turn selected who represented the state as the statewide delegates in the national convention.
Nobody in Colorado gets a vote for Trump
“Trump’s fault”
Its Trumps fault donchea know
Cruz supporters are way smug that the guy who is the smartest manipulator is the guy who deserves to be the president of the US
To hell with campaigning among the voters. The peasants wont vote for him as they’ve shown... Just focus your lawyers and operatives on a few hundred party hacks in each state and take the nomination
Except once he’s got it - whatever is he going to do with it?
No, Cruz just stole the delegates.
In Colorado, attendees of the precinct caucuses and county assemblies have little if any predictable effect on the outcome of the presidential candidate selection process. In order to have a predictable effect, one must at least be one of the delegates who attends the state convention.
I did this once. It involved driving most of the way across the state and spending three nights in a motel. (One day is for the congressional district meetings and one day is for higher-level offices.)
Even so, we have had problems with delegates lying about who they're supporting, so even attending the state convention isn't enough. Coloradans who want to be as sure about what they're voting for as ordinary voters in normal primaries have to go all the way to the national convention.
I don't believe it is reasonable to characterize voters who can't or don't want to go all the way to the national convention as "low-energy".
So, in CO citizens don't vote in a primary? They don't walk into a public building and select a candidate on a machine?
What he's told to do with it, namely, place it at Hillary's feet for her to step on, unimpeded.
No, we did not get to vote. The GOP can go to hell.
