I wouldn’t think that the police would want to go down that road.I don’t think they realize how vulnerable they are if the population turns against them.

The actual police have very little power over that. Its all dictated from above.

PS: Am I the only one who sees the obvious 4th Amendment conflict? Roadblocks for the purpose of looking for crimes (fishing) is a clear violation.

Conditioning the people to submit to the police, but conditioning the police to see the people as the adversary. You don’t want that PTSD crap to start when the cops have to go to war with the people. You certainly would want to do a better job of training than the Army is doing these days.
