WE HAVE NO CHOICE. There is only one party, the government party. Just a sideshow with bad actors.
Give ‘em time, they’re working on it. With a big fat assist from Ted Cruz.
In many cases the delegates names are known and if they don’t vote for whoever the majority of their districts chose, they still have to go back and live in their hometowns. I don’t think a whole lot of people would be willing to completely defy the choice of their community.
We have a choice between different factions within the so called “uniparty”, between factions who take turns lording over us.
I’ve sometimes wondered, why do we have only two major parties? They in effect take turns governing us. Both parties know if the voters get angry with one party, they will vote for the other party instead, not for an independent candidate, or any of the other numerous minor political parties.
Because we have a federal system, not a pure democracy, and states have made their own rules over decades.
There did not use to be primaries at all. The purpose of primaries is to dilute party power, and give the media more power in choosing what candidates they desire.
The primaries do not work that way as much anymore, because the media cartel does not control the information flow as much as it used to.
Watch Round #2. All will be revealed then.
You do realize the conventions hasn’t been held yet don’t you? Just wait...
Start your own political party then. You can call it the Anti-Uniparty Party. Join the ranks of the 50 other 3rd parties!
Yes, you do have a choice. You just don't like the way people are choosing.
Here is a brief history of primaries. They did not even exist much before 1968.
It is no coincidence that primaries were pushed on the states after the “progressive” media cartel had the most influence on the public information flow. Many put that watershed event in the middle 1960’s.
why isn’t Jeb or Rubio our nominee already?

Picking time ain’t here yet. Gotta let it ripen before the harvest.
The delegates come from the grass roots which have been heavily infiltrated by tea party activists and sincere conservatives. The parties have always selected their own candidates. Anyone can be a delegate. Find out the rules for your state and step up to the plate. I am a precinct chair and 2 years ago, I sent out 160 engraved invitations (at my own expense) to primary voters and only 5 Republicans showed up at the precinct caucus. This year no one but I showed up. . . guess who I nominated to be our delegate? Get informed and get involved instead of whining.
Self-government requires participation. If you don’t want to be dictated to by the party, be the party!
Sad to see some on here who said they were against the elitist establishment now supporting the same corrupt group they were against.
They have to play the game to give the appearance of propriety.

If Trump goes not go into the convention with at least 1237, your mention of Rubio or Bush as the nominee is still possible.
Recall that Bush said early on that the primaries were irrelevant, as he would be the one on the November ballot.

The game is still going on.
Every penny spent in political campaigns is meant to sway the swayable, the dumbest 10% of the folks who actually bother to vote. The swing voters, the ones who vote one way and then differently the next time around and can’t really give a cogent reason why.
Freegards
It's not. It's the well thought out process based up many possibilities.
The best possibility is that the best candidate wins by getting the required minimum number of delegates according to the processes designed by the States.
It is also a possibility that the WORST candidate wins the required minimum number (Think Hillary and a Federal Indictment). And what if the Candidate commits Treason or Murder just after getting the minimum requirement?
Didn't think of that did you?
It is also possible that the Candidate dies after getting the minimum votes, what do you do then?
Didn't think of that either did you?
The system works as designed for our Republic.
In the case of Colorado, the rules for caucuses have not changed since 1912 and are on the Colorado website. And to change the rules while in the caucus process is not fair.
What happened here is a failure in the ground game of Donald Trump and his followers are bitter over it.
except for Trump
