In the Colorado Rockies it is snowing and the forecast is that it will continue till Sunday with possibly 2 ft of wet spring snow. I 70 is already closed in the mountains and Denver International Airport has already cancelled 400 flights for Saturday.

I continue to be thankful that I don’t live in that type of environment. When I was a kid, we took a trip to Yellowstone National Park in June. I was amazed to see snow stacked up 5 ft. high or more all along the road.

Outside of Cody, we ran into a hail storm of soft ball size hail. Had to pull off at the first available place-a camp ground. We had to sweep hail off the picnic table. The trailer only had a little oven for heat, so it was pretty chilly inside, but a lot better than outdoors.
