He's 6'7" and 250 lbs. He's a monster and I've watched all season as he plants himself in front of the net and cannot be moved. He always attracts a lot of attention when he's in front of the crease which allows others to score. He does a good job on face offs and is an exceptional penalty killer, which they really needed tonight. My son and I were sat next to Phil Esposito for dinner at Amalie Arena before the last home game. He said he really liked Boyle and thought he brought a lot to the team. Maybe he just wasn't the right fit in NY.

Abdelkader, on the other hand, is a pussy who probably wrapped his hand in tape tonight so he'd have an excuse for running away. He's only interested in fighting if his opponent is flat out on the ice. If the league had any sense he'd have been suspended for a couple of games for the crap he pulled Friday night.

I stick by my statement. Espo was a great man in front of the net. In order to do that, you need to have enforcers. That would be Boyle’s job. Boyle had 13 goals, no comparison to Esposito. Do you think if he was such a great player, the Rangers would let him go?
