I’m confused. Is it 4000 or 190,000 years ago?

4000 for the Bronze Age King siring half of European males (I assume females too).

190,000 for the supposed Adam who sired all of modern man. What's really interesting is in another article, the supposed Eve lived around 60,000 years ago. the 130,000 difference really confuses me.

Apparently the math isn’t important right now.

We must always keep in mind that Facts Tell, but stories SELL !!

The supposed 60,000 year gap was a sort of beauty pageant while a suitable female evolved who had compatible reproductive capabilities. Adams’ first few millennia were very lonesome. Good thing he didn’t die off. Odd he had no siblings.

/sarcasm.

On the other hand, you might find the Book of Genesis to be a little more within credulity’s boundaries....

Nothing to be confused about.

The concept of Mitochondrial Eve was based on a wrong idea that mitochondria is inherited solely from the mother side. It has been shown that on some rare occasions it comes from the father too, so the Eve calculation is faulty and cannot be corrected at this time.

And still other tests show fully modern humans at 250,000 years ago ...

Women are always late. This demonstrates a genetic component.
