I think his duet with Sam Cooke was pretty good despite how short his parts of the lyrics were.

Not by me. I loved listening (and dancing) to Lou Rawls. "Lady Love" was another fave. Then there was "See You When I get There." Mmmm-m-m ... what a voice.

I'm not sure why disco gets such disrespect, but I loved it. It wasn't unusual for me to be on a disco dance floor on Friday and a country-western dance floor on Saturday. Good dancing music is good dancing music regardless of the genre.
