It would be incorrect to call Western civilization “Christian” or even “majority Christian” when it really hasn’t been for 100+ years. Too many atheists, agnostics and other non-Christians have been running too many things for too long to say otherwise. I wish it were otherwise.
It is very simple, the countries of Eastern Europe are Christian, and the countries of Western Europe are Post-Christian. However, France appears to be waking up.
In the end it will only be the apostolic churches who will confront Islam, the Eastern Orthodox and the Traditional Catholic churches will rise to the occasion.
The protestant areas of Europe will remain in disarray, just as they historically have been in the face of militant islam, because their very existence depends upon rebellion from legitimate apostolic authority in matters of Christian Faith. And many of them are essentially arian, not unlike their muslim brethren.
