But part of the campaign’s upcoming strategy includes fine-tuning previously made platforms and statements, Manafort said,

And on one of his most controversial, the temporary ban on Muslims, Manafort hinted at a Trump softening.

“He’s already started moderating on that,” Manafort told the Huffington Post. “He operates by starting the conversation at the outer edges and then brings it back towards the middle. Within his comfort zone, he’ll soften it some more."

Look, the ONLY reason I am voting for Trump is because he said he would ban muslims, build a wall and throw the illegals out so fast it would "make my head spin." If he's going to soften, "evolve," and "fine-tune," then he's no better than all the other freaks. He'd better straighten up and fly right.

His position was always somewhat "soft." Ban until we get a handle on it. Similar to the wall. He's not trying to stop immigration, he is trying to stop illegal immigration.

Vote for Hillary then, LOL.

It depends on what “softens” turns out to mean. I personally do not think Islam has a place in America, in any form or shape, because I do not believe it to be a true religion. It is either a cult, or more likely a form of government, and an extremely evil form at that.

A “virtual” border wall, a “softened” travel ban... what next?

I think there’s a term for this

He’ll still end up outside of the norm, but in line with what the American people are thinking.

His initial position IS what the American people are thinking, you idiot.

Now fire yourself and get the hell out of town.

Every time I see a picture of Manafort I think he should be hosting a game show on TV somewhere.

Mamafort news to STFU and be on the receiving end of Trump’s favorite phrase: “You’re fired.”

Trumps Taqiyya.

I don’t for a moment believe Trump is going to really moderate on this. I’m confident that he will have some really novel ideas that he really doesn’t want to campaign on.

Mr. Trump has enjoyed not only growing support from all walks of life, but enthusiastic support as well.

If he or Manafort appears to equivocate, the support will likely still be there, but the enthusiasm will begin to deteriorate.

Yeh I agree with you totally. If Trump is going to go back on his promises then what are we cheering for? My take is that a lot of the time Manafort says stuff and then Trump negates it a day or two later. These Muslims have got to go.

Manafort may think he is in charge but he isn’t. Donald is shrewd. But he knows what must be done. I believe he has the cojones to do it.

Trumps list of possible SCOTUS nominees is solid. Hillary won’t do that

Oh look, another FR thread of people idiotically thinking that Trump can rule by decree and impose any policy suggestion he likes. Isn’t that exactly what we didn’t want?

Why not just say we’ll only ban the bad ones?

When asked how we’ll determine that, say that we can’t publicize that info so they don’t figure a way to circumvent it.

Manafort, who reminds me of a sleazy version of 70s Hollywood producer, Robert Evans, needs to shut up. We need Corey, not this sleaze.

This ManniRove has got to go. Campaign managers get paid whether they win or lose so they have no reason to care what the voters think.

Pray America wakes
