If I had a restaurant, and if permitted, I would put the logo next to every menu item, rather than worry about being fined for leaving it off somewhere.

As a customer, I would ignore the silly logo. If you want to eat “healthy”, you eat at home. I eat out to enjoy the total experience, and I don’t expect a special dinner to meet the nutritional standards for an average meal. This silly increase in nanny government is additional proof that it’s time to shrink government at all levels - federal, state, and local.

Now that they have solved and prevented all crime, they can turn their attention to the really important things concerning the city.

As for health — wait until they have to put warning signs next to items that have too little salt:

Take Low-Salt Advice With a Grain of You Know What

They’re required to tell how much salt is in the food. That’s great! It helps me determine how much more salt I’ll need.

Does the warning sticker or logo or whatever have to be accurate?

Can the restaurant simply post a single warning saying something like, “every food item on this menu might include up to a zillion pounds of salt.”

Why is that Republicans can never seem to take advantage of this? Or is it that voters actually do like this sorta thing?

Why would any sane person want to live in a city where big government has its nose in everything You do, eat, drink,, etc.? I expect soon NY women will be required tattooed warning signs next to their vaginas and men will have to get one on their Johnson. Probably every oriface will have to have one. This is exactly the kind of insanity I am hoping Trump will put an end to.

Such laws make absolutely ZERO difference to people. They’ll eat what they want; those who care about salt intake don’t need to be told.

If the majority of New Yorkers want to enslave themselves to their State, fine, as long as they let those who don’t want that to leave, and they leave the rest of us alone.

Not good enough.
It’s insane that anyone can walk into a store and buy all the salt they want.
Salt sales background checks, a waiting period and a national registry of buyers/sellers are indicated.

I believe they are doing all this in order to reduce the city population size.

Not kidding.
