What's he going to do, round up 300 million guns!?They don't intend to do anything that might actually work, even in their belief system. They know nothing changed even when they had their so-called assault weapons ban.
The point is to exploit the event for political gain and say things that make them feel even better about their holier than thou selves. Oh, and we mustn't refer to this as Islamic terrorism. Could hurt their self esteem.
