CORRECT (safe) PROCEURE:

1. Both hands on top of steering wheel...

2. "Officer, I am legally licensed to carry a handgun."

3. "Officer, my handgun is in a holster on my RIGHT hip."

4. "Officer, my wallet with my CHL/ LTC & DL is in my LEFT hip pocket."

5. "Officer, do you want me to produce my ID?."

6. "Officer, I will now, slowly, with my LEfT hand, retrieve my wallet.."

7. (RIGHT hand remains, unmoving, atop steering wheel.)

8. (SLOWLY retrieve wallet -- held between left thumb & forefinger.)

9. (Both hands back on top of steering wheel...)

10. "Officer, here are both my DL & my CHL/LTC."

11. (Both hands remain on top of steering wheel until threat is defused...)
