McDONOUGH — A road rage incident landed a Riverdale woman in jail Friday morning after she allegedly aimed her gun at another driver on the interstate.

The Henry County Police Department was called just before 7:30 a.m. to the area of Interstate 75 South and Ga. Highway 155 in response to a person with a gun.

A man told dispatch a woman aimed a pink pistol at him while they were driving on I-75, a police report states.

He told police that a lady driving a tan 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe, who was later identified as 21-year-old Shavon Footman, was following extremely closely behind his vehicle when he had to stop suddenly for the construction traffic in the area.

At that time, Footman allegedly reached into a bag and pulled out a pink gun and began pointing it at him and the passenger in his vehicle.

A Henry County Sheriff’s Office deputy conducted a traffic stop as she turned north onto Ga. 155.

Footman pulled over on King Mill Road where she reportedly told officers she showed her gun only when the other driver held up his gun first.

Officers then asked the other driver, who had also stopped at the location, if he had a gun in his car, but he reportedly said, “Check the car, I don’t have a gun.”

The officer did not find a gun or anything that would have looked like a gun if he held it up, the police report states.

When officers searched Footman’s vehicle they found a loaded pink 9 mm pistol with 10 rounds in the chamber, the police report states.

Footman was booked into the Henry County Jail.

Holy hell ... 10 rounds in the chamber! Wouldn’t that make it like 90mm?

Riverdale’s changed a lot since Archie and Jughead went to school there.

Burglar bars over window ac is actually very common in urban neighborhoods. Think of it as cheap insurance. Better than insurance, even. .

No, they fill up the barrel and all come out at once. Cheap autofire, anyone can do it. Did you also know that most cellphones can be recharged in a microwave oven? It's true.

I’m guessing 1 in the chamber, 9 in the magazine.

Riverdale was terrible 20 years ago. Naturally that’s where the airport is. LOL!

The cops didn’t find anything that looked like a gun. I assume the guy didn’t have a video game remote in his car. There’s at least one cop in Georgia who would have thought it was a gun.

It is in fact true that you can wash your key board in a dish washer, I’ve done it, no harm to the key board. Don’t let it go through the drying cycle however. Put it in a dish drainer or outside in the sunshine.

Hey whats up ? ....I thought the police automatically shoot all black people on sight, expecially if they are known to have a gun ....expecially if they have a name like Shavon !!!

at least thats what I learned from listening to "the news" and Obama speeches
